Nominate a Board Member

If you want to shape PVMA’s future, consider nominating or running for an open seat on the Board of Trustees. A diverse set of seats represent the different disciplines in veterinary medicine and four geographic regions across the state. Get involved today and help move the mission of the PVMA forward to ensure the vitality of the profession.

Vice President

If nominated and elected as Vice President, you will serve for one year as Vice President, the next year as President-Elect, and the following year as president. During all 3 years, you will have a vote on the PVMA Board of Trustees and a seat on the Executive Committee. Working closely with PVMA Committees, colleagues on the Board of Trustees, and PVMA’s Executive Director, you will help shape the future of veterinary medicine in Pennsylvania and help maintain the vitality of the profession.

To qualify, the nominee must meet the following requirements:

  • Pennsylvania veterinarian
  • Active Member of the PVMA in good standing
  • Served in active service as a Trustee, Committee or Taskforce member, or a participant of Power of 10 for at least three (3) years within the previous ten (10) years
Metro Philadelphia Region Trustee

The Metro Philadelphia Region Trustee is the representative for Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties. The person elected to this chair will serve a 3-year term and can serve no more than 2 consecutive terms in this role.

To qualify, the nominee must meet the following requirements:

  • Active Member of the PVMA in good standing
  • Practice in the Philadelphia region

Why did I decide to volunteer? It was a very simple statement someone once said to me. “Volunteers do not need time; they just need heart.”  I have that!  I love this profession; the science, the innovation, the people, the animal bond and everything in between. Great ideas with great people lead to great change! My time as a leader with PVMA has allowed me to network and develop relationships that will last a lifetime.
